I have an oldie goldie, I quess, it is only 4 yrs old, Gee I hate to think that a person would be out of date at this age, LOL.
To my problem:
I have a HP Photosmart 620 digital camera, and docker along with the HP PSC all in one. On the internal memory, I can get 78 good pictures, hey this is great, however with 15 grandkids not enough, haha.
The highest memory card I can use is a 128 MB. Only place to purchase them is thru HP. Well, before all was over with I had 2 sent to me, apparently my camera is not reading the card, as so they (HP) reps are telling me. It is my camera.
Issues that goes on:
1. when I put external memory card in it immeadiately asks to format the card, which I say yes. It goes into a green screen with white strips going up and down. nothing else happens.
2. Tech support told me to remove card, take out batteries, and put back in when I do this I get an LCD display with a solid yellow light up top as if ready to take pictures When I try to take a picture (with memory card in) it states at bottom; memory card is full.
3. I can take the care out, remove my batteries, and put batteries back in and my camera works with out memory card.
Known fact. Memory card has not been used in this camera b4. Can the contacts need cleaning in the camera? or is it the camera?
Tried the card in my son's Kodak camera and it works an hold 98 photos, it did not ask for card to be formatted in his camera. What gives????
Can anyone help me? or am I at a lost?
Thanks, WJN
