Banding with Nikon Capture NX

Printing with Nikon NX produces banding approx 8mm apart horizontally using a Canon ip5200r. Nikon technical help don't have a clue yet and tthey have had the problem for about 4 weeks. All other products print the identical files properly (no banding) ie. canon photoprint or adobe cs2. Anyone any ideas?
