1. 6-8 mp dSLRs vs 3 mp all-in-ones. Some say it doesn't matter. But really, there are plenty of 6-8 mp all-in-ones, so this is just inflammatory.

2. Better Composition: Ok, I agree, but most all-in-ones still have a viewfider. Only the cheapest or most compact force composition on the LCD. So, once again, just a bit inflammatory.

OK, I like my D70 and I'm not going back. But call it like it really is. The article has a clear bias that's really unnecessary.

Cheers,
Eric

Yup it's kind of a summary of all the biased misinformation available to consumers on a daily basis. The sad part is that people will take this as gospel, and go out and drop $1600 when all they needed was a decent all-in-one.

While the bias toward dSLR's is generally justified (and appears to be sponsored) the article does not go on to explain that many of the low cost cameras (like the Canon A75) are easily fast enough for most users and that cameras in the ultra-zoom catagory (like the FZ20) can be as utilitarian and fun to use as a 20D at 1/3 the cost, and 1/3 the learning curve.

I really cringe when I read this tripe, and part of the reason I don't use my homepage as a news source.
