Identifying Gray Market/Previously Opened Cameras

I am thinking of buying the Kodak DX 7440 from Beach/BuyDig (or maybe anohter e-tailer). Will pick it up in person in NJ. Are there any signs to tell if a camera has been returned and resold? Does Kodak factory seal the manual, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.
