Default HP R927 slow/unavailable when saving to storage

Hi all.
I am a fan of photography since digital cameras were introduced. Before I really haven't gathered experience.
I've had a Sony DSC P5 - Sony DSC P9 - HP Photosmart R707, R717, R817 an now a R927.
I thought that new introduced cameras should be faster than the model before. But it seems that more and more this market goes to 'Large Display' and that's it... (sure - I like the 3 inch thing, too... ;-) )

Now the R927 is really a super camera - there are two things I don't like compared to very much older digital cameras:
- Optical Zoom only 3x (i think a 5x should be standard for this size of cam)
- Speed of Photo-after-Photo

The second point is eventually different topics like "Shutter Speed" and "Storage speed" or other 'availability' things. I am a "user" and just want to do "Sharp Snapshots" - so whatever daylight or nightlife gives - the cam should be ready...

Now I am thinking about buying the HP Photosmart R967... Shutter Speed is better according specs - but from 'Storage Speed' I haven't read anything yet.

Any comments appreciated... Thanks

Puppi
