Default canon a85 vs fuji e510 (newbie question)

hello everyone,
this is my first time posting ... but i have read a couple of old posts. They seem really helpful. I am looking to buy a digital camera pretty soon, but am debating between the canon A85 and the Fuji E510. The primary use of this camera will be for close up pictures ... (i heard something about macro mode?). I build small scale aircraft (1/72nd scale) and I want something to catch as much of the detail as possible. I went to the local Best Buy to check out these two cameras but they were both out of battery. So I checked out the A95 and the E550 (both a step higher than the two I'm debating to buy). I was wondering if you guys had any experience with either of these two cameras and which one would be better for my use. Thanks in advance ....
Miguel

There is absolutely no need to create teh same thread in three places. We have a forum for asking which camera to buy. I am closing this thread. Please respond here.
