Angry nikon 7600 grainy video?

im sure this has been posted before, but im kinda in a bad mood and didnt really feel like searching...took me long enough to find a good forum to actually post this on lol...anyways, is there a reason why my video is grainy looking at night? like im in my car last night and took a vid, and it came out really grainy looking...(i have really dark tint) when on the other hand, i know a guy that has the coolpix 5200, and he has really dark tint too, and he takes vids at night, and his come out really nice looking. i thought that being a higher model it would take better videos, but if not i may have to sell it and get a different model. what model around the 250-300 dollar price range(ebay prices) will take nice videos and pics? (im happy with the pics mine takes tho, and im also happy with the videos in the day, just nighttime vids...)

No camera, still or video, is going to take great pictures or video in really low light situations. Inside a car at night (with heavily tinted windows) seems about the worst possible situation to take video. Perhaps a dedicated video camera would be able to push the envelope enough to take an adequate video, but I think you are asking an awful lot from that camera.

You'd really need to bring your friend's camera into the same enviornment to see if it is truely better. Can you post a small snip of your video?
