It looks on the face of it to be a shop to avoid, given all this information that they're really http://www.amphotoworld.com trading under a different online name. Here's the amphotoworld dns record. Note - same address used but different phone numbers/names.

On the face of it - I'd give them both a miss. Both have poor ratings. Interesting that the newer-looking site should turn up as soon as the older site had bad ratings....

Avoid this place at all costs. I found this post from google, and registered just to let everyone know.

My story:
I hunted around for 2 cameras, one for me and another for my gf. the one i was interested in was $50 cheaper than the next lowest price and the second camera was about $5 less. I was emailed to verify my address and called them. their rep told me that i should buy a battery since this does NOT come with one. I looked at the mfg's site and in the box, there was a batter and cradle and some software included. But this guy told me that that's the "kit" and not the camera listed. the same story for the other camera.

none of this information was listed on the product page. Also the rep was very rude. once again, i fall into the saying of "if its too good to be true..."

thanks for listening.

Exclamation Digital Liquidators

I believe this Co. to be the same as A&M Photo which nobody seems to have anything good to say about. I had just orderd a Casio Exlim 100 from DL they sent me an email saying I had to call to confirm when I did they tried to upsell me. Also I was told my order would be shipped in 1-2 days, after trying to track it I was told it was on back order. The price is so cheap because you don't get everything you need to use the camera, USB, battery, memory card. I would read the reviews on A&M They are the same.

Default Review sites

Just adding a note...

When I looked up this site on Google, trying to locate a Canon 20D, a review site called PriceArrow.com showed up. They have all pretty great reviews for this place, surprisingly since all other reviews were horrible.

The DNS record for Price Arrow below seems somewhat suspect since it is so close to where this place is located in Brooklyn. How coincidental is it that an online review site would have great reviews of a place down the street that everyone else acknowledges as a scam?

What a scam!
Bait and switch. be careful.
They quote you a low, low price and when it's time to buy just the camera ( no expensive accesssories) they tell you that you do not get the accessories that you were originally told were part of the package.
Has anyone ever heard of an 18 minute lithium battery?
That's what they tell you you are getting when you won't buy an etra battery. Much, much more...
Stay away from these folks. Stay very far away.

Cool Reply re:Digital Liquidators

These guys are experts at the 'bait & upgrade' sales pitch. After baiting with low initial prices, you must call in to confirm your order...then you are inundated with 'special add-on offers' that appear to be a good deal. Be careful and stick to your guns to buy only what you want and you'll do well.
Also, watch the 'free shipping' offer that seems to disappear.
They will credit you when requested but seems to take forever to get ahold of them.

Not to sound disrespectful to anyone but about a month ago I called this company inquiring about a product that they were selling. It was a little cheaper then anyone else but when I called to inquire about the product I must have waken the represenative because all I got was a very short and rude response to any question I had. I just politely told them that I wasn't interested and then they got really nasty. Made me try to feel like by calling them I signed some kind of contract with them to buy the product. You know the more I think about it the more mad it makes me. I would avoid this company like the plague.
