I've noticed a few particles of dust on my optical viewfinder (they're not on CMOS sensor b/c I can't see them in my photographs)...how can I clean them? I tried blowing air on it but it didn't help, and I also tried using tissue paper.
Help!! In an attempt to clean the focusing mirror/lens I think I may have scrated it! Now whenever I look through the optical viewfinder I will see this VERY faint line in the middle of the view! Is that replaceable? Thankfully, the pictures are still turning out ok.
The mirror is replacable, but probably not under warranty. Sounds like you found out the hard way that the mirror in any SLR is one of the most delicate parts. Blower brushes are usually sufficient for a cleaning...
