1. Did you install the cameras software on your computer? There is probably a driver in there for the camera.

2. Did you plug in the USB cable to both the computer and the camera? You should probably turn the camera off while connecting and then turn it on. Some cameras have a weird boot-handshake thing.

3. If it worked you should have a removable drive icon in the My Computer window. Clicking on that drive will reveal the contents just like a regular data drive.

4. If not, what does the manual say? Sorry I don't have the manual, so I don't know what it says to do.

Default Optimus photo transfer

If you are running Win XP this should work.

Turn on PC
Turn on Camera
connect USB cable to camera
connect USB cable to PC
On the PC screen you should get a Removable Disk window
Select "Copy picture to a folder on my computer"

At this point you should be in a Windows Explorer mode. It helps to change the view mode to thumbnails.

You also can try the MS Scanner and Camera Wizard in the control panel.

Default Optimus installation software

Hi, I have the 5.0 megapixel Optimus camera, and I installed the software on another computer about a year ago and lost the installation disk. Now that I am trying to use the camera as a webcam on a different computer, it won't work and it keeps on asking for the disk. Does anyone know where I can get another or just download the software? I've searched a little bit and I can't seem to find a company website to ask them directly.
