Exclamation Nice rebate on Canon stuff

If you're of buying a Digital Rebel, there's a nice rebate available now. It's normally $100 off but if you buy a lens or two the rebate can double or triple! For example, if you buy the Rebel + the popular 28-135mm lens you get $200 off the camera and $30 off the lens.

I've got no vested interest in this (aside from asking you to use PriceGrabber for price shopping) but wanted to mention it!

Default Nice Rebate on Canon Stuff

Jeff et al.

Do you think that this rebate means that Canon is clearing out the 300D channel for an updated version of the 300D? I assuming not because most upcoming products have been announced, but enticing rebates like this are often a sign of a new model in the computer and Digicam worlds.

Well, there certainly won't be any announcement until next year...

Default Doesn't matter to me.....

Lets see bought Rebel with 18-55 lens at walmart $829.00
Bought 70-300 lens also at walmart $248 (yeah I know that was a bit high)
Just bought 28-135 IS USM for $420.00 and 550EX flash for $335.00 at dell.com (the coupon says there isn't a rebate on the flash but I'm thinking there really is---as I've seen a few notations that there is one).

Total rebate will be like 390.00 so I got like one a half lenses for free, or you could say I got the body for 400 bucks, cheaper than a comparable p&s like a G6 and the lenses will carry over for when the 20D becomes reasonable because it's old technology. Now I just have to pay off the plastic........
