Default Successor to the FZ-5

Hi,

I am looking for a compact ultra zoom digital camera, and the FZ5 seems like the perfect choice for me. The only point that buggs me is the lousy video mode, so if I had to choose now I'd go with the Canon S2 IS.

However, I think the FZ-5 has been out for a year now, and I saw that the FZ-30, as a successor to the FZ-20, was released about one year later, so shouldnt it be time for some newer ultra zoom panasonic camera?

Somebody got any info on such a newer release?

Or has at least observed the general release policy of Panasonic?

thx a lot

If you have the patience to wait for PMA2006 (Feb26) and CES2006 (now) then they will come.
