Question panasonic fz30

I would like to know, whether I can take photo in infrared spectrum (if I have infrared filter) - is CCD sensor sensitive to infrared rays?
Do you have some experiences with it (do you have some photos)?

The sensors on Digicams can pick up the infrared light, however somtimes there is a filter placed in front of (directly over) the sensor to not allow the Infrared Light to pass through and hit the sensor. Camera's such as mine (20D) have this filter and therefore I cannot use it to take IR photographs. I do not believe the Panasonic FZ30 has this filter over the sensor (ie: it can see IR light), so you should be able to take IR photographs with an IR filter.

The FZ30 can do some infra red but most likely not up to what you want....If you can get your hands on a FZ1, it was great at IR.
