Question Panasonic FZ30 Sunset & Moon

How well does the Panasonic FZ30 function in taking pictures of sunsets and of the moon?

This is for Donte. What type of Panasonic camera did you take this with?

Thanks

Are you using any telecoversion lenses on that moon picture? I've never been able to get the crater detail shown in yours with my fz30. How'd you take that if you don't mind my asking. Lenses/settings? Thanks.

No special lens just the one it comes with. Settings are below.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30
Exposure time 1/250 s
f-number f/3.7
ISO 80
420mm
Jpeg

I guess it also depends on the time of the night you take it I think. Also focusing was a bitch. I would take a picture then review it then make small changes till I had the focus just right. As you can see I think the focus is still just a tad off.

Oh in the setting put it on the setting that’s focuses on the farthest object. I don’t remember what it’s called.

I think January 14th it will be a full moon and I am going to try to get some good shots. If I get any I will post them. Good luck and hope this helped.
