kodak 6590 question

I would like to be able to take an action shot of some gymnastics in a gym that is not well lit. I cannot use the flash, and I would like to use the burst mode.

When I place the camera in sports mode the pics are clear but very dark. What settings could I use under the PASM setting (manual settings) to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance for any help or tips.
