I have ordered from Crutchfield in the past and they are a GREAT retailer. They are very imformative and have excellent customer service. They go out their way to teach about products in their catalogs.

Received my Panasonic TZ1 from Crutchfield a week ago. Very pleased with the camera and Crutchfield was great to deal with. I ordered a 1GB Sandisk Ultra II flash card from Newegg. Their service was excellent as well. Highly recommend dealing with both of these vendors (even if it costs a little more). Now if I can just figure out how to take good sports action photos with this TZ1, I'll be as happy as my Springers while they're flushing Ringnecks...

Except from a few people with not a lot of posts, I haven't seen anything about Berger Brothers. They don't have a lot of reviews (I only found them on Reseller Ratings). I don't know if anybody else has an opinion, I only point them out because I'm thinking about buying from them...

They seem to be just a small little hometown Brick and Mortar store. Their URL has been registered since 1996 and they appear to have no ties to the commonly known internet scam artists. Reseller ratings shows a decent rating, however there are not many reviews. I would say they are probably an ok place to shop, however they will not find their way to my list as they seem to be a Brick and mortar store with an internet storefront and their is really no reviews to support their service. Sorry I can't be more help...

Default Perhaps it is time...

I would like to say that I was a naive consumer when I went online to purchase a Nikon D200. I could only wish I had come across this website before expending much time and frustration in my persuit of finding a low priced D200. Yes, I am guilty of going on ShopCartUSA and falling for the BS of the low priced merchants (all in Brooklyn I may add). The good thing is that I didn't buy anything from scammers like Infinity, Royal or CCI. I feel good I did not contribute to perpetuating their existence and now I am prepared to plan their demise. First, let me say that I am not an attorney but I do have the spark of one. I think it is time that the companies that are on the bad list of merchants as listed on this website be put out of business. The consumers need to be protected from these idiotic sacks of shit. We all get pissed, we blow off steam, we bitch and complain, write to blogs and sites like this but nothing substantial gets done. So, it is time to act. I have researched the FTC regulations and I can say without a doubt that the companies on the bad list (especially Infinitiphoto, Royal and CCI that I have dealt with personally) are in violation of atleast 3 or 4 FTC regs. I am contacting the FTC to file formal complaints against the terrible three, as well as filing with the BBB and the Attorney General. I don't think these companies are properly registered either with the department of state but I am not totally sure; I will be soon though. As a clincher, I also placed ShopCartUSA on notice that due to their failure to qualify merchants properly, I may file against them too. I think companies like ShopCartUSA need to keep closer tabs on the scammers they allow in, especially when they advertise that they provide an all great and mighty service. My email is flaphotos@bellsouth.net for any of you that may want to help me put these bastards out of business. Not only will we be doing consumers a favor, but we will also be assisting legitimate companies like B&H be rid of pseudo-competitors that are making them look like they are selling overpriced products. NOW IS THE TIME TO PUT UP OR SHUT UP. Let's spread the word, let's send in the complaint letters or e-mails, let's make the calls, let's rip these so called businesses a new butt-hole. FLAPHOTOS@BELLSOUTH.NET. I will fight this battle on my own if I have to, help will be greatly appreciated.

Wow Bob - Glad to see someone is determined to do something about these awful companies. Good luck with your filings, I really hope you get something done and start the path to putting those companies out of business.
One request - please sensor your post (use the edit button), I wouldn't want a post like that one to be deleted for obscene language .
Good luck Bob

Default Sorry.. I am somewhat ticked off

I apologize for the crudeness of some of my comments. I am just so fed up with these companies and how the system just lets them get away with it that the uncensored words just flow out like a river of menure. I will be more controlled in future posts. Thanks for the advise and support. :-)

Default Possible upcoming Christmas deal.

I know that it is only August, but before I forget, , , , ,

This concerns Circuit City and AOL Shopping. The past two years, the only two that I have checked, Circuit City has offered an unbeatable deal to AOL members as long as they link to the Circuit City site from AOL Shopping. I can't remember the exact days, but during the final shopping rush Circuit City has offered a "one day deal" of a 20% Gift Card (mail in rebate) back on selected categories of merchandise, and this is on top of their normal holiday sales price. I was sure it was a mistake and that they ment to say "$20"! I got my FZ20 in 2004 at the 15% off sale price and then received a $102 gift card, which covered memory and a spare battery. Circuit City, as with most of the other "big box" retailers sell at full MSRP, but 15% off is pretty good, and the additional 20% gift card is mighty sweat. They offered cameras in 2004, but not last year, so I'd bet that cameras will be part of the deal this year, if offered at all. And, like I said above, I wanted to share this before I forget to. I hope that it helps someone score this year.
