Thumbs up Fz30 - Great Price!!

Here's the best price (by far) I have recently found on the FZ30.

Don't know how long it will last, but with standard shipping costs, this price is currently at least $16 below the next closest competitor!

I'd never heard of Wisetronics before now.

For my location (TN), the total cost (with shipping) is only $519.89.

Anyone find it cheaper (total cost, not camera-only cost).

Digital1234 may be next cheapest at total cost of $533.99.

Interesting ratings. Wisetronics only had one reviewer, so I'm not sure they are good or bad to deal with. But digital1234 looks like it might be not so good a retailer.

Thanks for the info!

Its just a guide ...butterfly does not have good ratings either but many on these forums have bought from them with no problems.

Default FZ 30 Great price - but one question

the Lumix DMC FZ30 - overall a good digi; especially with the Leica lens. But could someone explain what the meaning of "noise" has to do with picture quality when scientifically it relates to sound - with reference to ASA above 100 in the above digi?

Thanks

This is an interesting case. The 4.XX rating is actually the 6 months rating, and if you look carefully, they've only gotten 7 reviews in the past 6 months. But the plot thickens because if you look further back, nearly all the reviews were positive. I find it odd that a retailer would suddenly see a drop in reviews and have all those reviews turn out negative...

If you want a "sure" thing, buy from Buydig.com and be done with it. Sometimes they are very cheap, sometimes they are merely average in pricing, but the shipping is free and lightning quick. I don't think anybody on this forum has had a bad experience with Buydig before.

I think it's worth mentioning that I just called wisetronics and spoke with one of their reps. The Panasonic fz30 on their site DOES come with all the listed accessories new in the box (so they aren't one of the infamous upsale artists that try and sell you what's supposed to come with it.) For that reason, it's a fantastic deal at 499. Here's the catch: the gentleman on the phone politely informed me that their fz30 does NOT come with any warantee other than their 7 day exchange policy and a non-DOA guarantee. Now i'm not sure about you but when i set down 500 bucks for a camera i'd rather spend 30 more somewhere else and get that warantee. Take my telephone experience for what it's worth. Just passing along info. I'm going to pass on wisetronics.
