While I can't comment on the durability, I question Canon's decision to make a larger LCD (in dimension) with less pixels!

400: 2.0" LCD with 118,000 pixels
450: 2.5" LCD with 115,000 pixels

I'm also interested in hearing feedback and how easy (at all?) is it to scratch the lcd screen?
though not related to the lcd, but the sd450, have image softness issues from the sd400 been addressed?
thanks!

Photos from the SD450 are slightly soft and improves on minor correction with the unsharp mask in Photoshop. However, I would say that I'm quite happy with the image quality of my SD450.

Corners are noticebly soft but you probably won't notice much on smaller sized prints.

I put a screen protector on my SD450 before I even put in the SD card. I wish Canon would adopt the LCD protection of the Panasonic FX-7. The LCD covering is "harder" than the SD400/300/200 and the LCD doesn't ripple on light touch. However, IMO it would still be soft enough to scratch if you weren't careful and definitely something I wouldn't put pressure on.

I would say about as much pressure as I would on my laptop's LCD screen

Can someone recommend an LCD screen protector for the SD450?
