It looks like you have some depth of field issues that are most likely the result of the lens and mode that you are shooting with.
Question #1. did you shoot all of the shots with the 75-300mm is usm?
Questioni #2. did you use a tripod on any of the shots?
I have been told that the is lenses are really good but I have also read many bad reviews of them (refering to the non L series IS lenses).
I really though the sharpest shots were the geese in 6099 to 6105, as you can see there is not a wide FOV so you do not see the depth of field issues.
