Apple Quicktake 200 and Windows XP

Hello All
Just got my first PC (i'm a former MAC user) and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could use my Apple Quicktake 200 with this new computer using windows XP.
The computer has a smart media card reader built-in, but when I insert the card from my camera and click-on the drive icon I get a "Please insert card" error message.
Is this a software or hardware problem, and does anyone know how to work around it??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
