I wanted to buy Dimage Z5 and they where selling it for 289USD. when I placed the order, their support called and offered me batteries (chargeable for 99USD and alkaline 50USD). I declined through email. I tried to call but only the answering machine answered!
thanks god I was able to cancel my order, otherwise I thought they would bill me anyway or send me 99USD batteries.
total bastard. I was warned through wesite reviews but I didnt listen

someone should sue them too!

Anyone has a good deal for Dimage Z5?

If you have your heart set on the Z5, go ahead and get it (use Pricegrabber to get best price), but there are definitely better cameras to be had at that price. The Z5's image quality is a bit lacking to say the least.

The Panasonic FZ5 is a direct competitor in size and price. If you are willing to spend about $50 more, you can get the Sony H1 and Canon S2 IS. Both are much, much better cameras than the Z5.
