Nice bird shots everyone. Don, that is an especially nice frame filling image. And I don't see any evidence of a window .

A few from my own 70-300, though not of things the lens is usually used for, and maybe not that exciting either.

The last bird looks like some kind of Towhee jekostas, maybe a Rufous Sided Towhee? Great pics! I love taking pics of birds because of the challange.

I was killing time during my lunch today playing with my camera. Imagine my surprise when I saw a haint in my pic!

Nice bird shots, guys.

builder: I've never heard of "haint" before -- I can imagine that would be surprising.

Here's another treatment of that milkweed I posted a bit ago, based on some feedback.

You're right, it is a towhee. Looked it up, it's a Spotted Towhee.

Back in the day when I was doing roofing dtk, I worked with an old black man. One of the finest men I've ever known and he taught me a lot. I was telling him how I was sticking pins in my Jimmie Johnson voodoo doll, etc to bring him some bad luck. He told me "son, you don't need to be messing with that voodoo stuff, that's nothing but trouble. It'll stir up the haints and make your life hell." I asked him what a haint was and he replied, "a haint is a spirit, a ghost and they are bad when you mess with voodoo." It was something I'd never heard before and it has stuck with me to this day and brings a smile to my face when I use it.

OK, I see the haint now. Sometimes people like that are smarter than "new" people . Even if it seems strange.

"haint that curious"....! sorry, couldn't resist being stupid this morning. Spooky though.... it looks like it is a faint reflection in glass builder a trick that used to be known as Pepper's ghost in the theatre. Was it shot through glass?
Nice birds Don & cool glasses shot raven.
