I try to get up to Vulcan every few trips to Birmingham. I have been there when he was all disassembled and it was surreal as there were giant body parts spread out on the ground mostly upright. Kind of like a Rubik's cube version of a statue. I always thought he was a bit strangely proportioned and I crack up over his big iron butt checks hanging out in the Bible belt.

Another interesting photo side trip in Birmingham is the Sloss Furnaces National Landmark downtown. I have been meaning to get back there as I imagine that it would be a good place to play with some HDRI shots.

I would love to have seen Vulcan disassembled and spread out kgosden. That would have been very cool! I get a kick out of his butt cheeks as well and there's always someone pointing and laughing at them. LOL Thanks for the heads up about the Sloss Furnaces. I always like having things to see and I'll check it out next time I'm down there.
