I think the big advantage of the Black Rapid straps is for people carrying two cameras. It make it very easy to literally drop one and grab the other when needed.

Thanks everyone.

Not heard of the Black Rapid straps until now, and I must say I wouldnt really like it.
I think I will opt for the opt-ech (see what I did there? ).

Quite cheap on Amazon.

At the moment I have a strap and polarisor on there which makes it around £100 order. Bloody accessories!

Oh wow, that crumpler strap is perfect! The one with black trim and blue camouflage pattern. It matches my usual Navy working uniform very well.
Thanks for the heads up!

What about that strap that slings over your head/neck and goes to your hip? It has like a slider or something on it so when you don't want to hold your camera it just slides down to the hip and you can quickly pull it up to your eye if need be?

Crap I cant remember the company.

^^^ Sounds like something GI Joe would use. I could imagine it sliding down my chest and smacking me in the crown jewels...good thing I have a filter to protect the front element
