I vote you do more of them and develop the effect more. (Sharp trees with blurred clouds, well the interesting part to me is the blurred clouds with a sharp foreground, doesn't have to be trees i guess, hmm im getting some ideas i might try out myself... Where do i send your royalty cookies to?)
mmmmmmmmmmmm I love cookies! I think I'm going to try it again tonight. We'll see if the clouds cooperate.

Awesome! How are you finding the AF tracking? I haven't had chance to put it through its paces yet.
Thanks! AI Servo is WAY, WAY better than the 40D. With 40D I would just miss a lot and get maybe a third of the shots in focus. To be fair though, I suck at panning, so a lot of it may have had to do with my own skill
However on this one the dog was coming straight at me (no panning ), and I took about 10 shots and they were all in focus. I love how the 7D actually constantly shows where the AF points are as you are tracking in AI Servo, you can verify where the focus is in a split second.
I haven't done much side-to-side panning, but I'm able to get 1/2 to 2/3 of the shots in focus.
While I'm on that, do you more experienced panners lead the subject at all? I need more practice, but thankfully the dog park is a good place to practice.
