I think I needed a tripod, this isn't as sharp as some of the insect shots others have posted.

What settings/gear were you using? There are a lot of ways to improve shots like this. Tripods for macro are generally great but not so much when chasing bugs.

I know what you mean. So do I....but this is what the client wanted and I'm too lazy (yet again) to make two versions of it...

nqjudo, it was my 60mm macro, on manual focus, ISO 400, f/6.3, ss1/40. I was focused at 1:1 and moved the camera to try and focus on the eyes. Framing wise I didn't have a lot of choice as the critter was on a glass door. Tips appreciated.
