Default Re-manufactured ink cartridges

Has anyone tried the re-manufactured ink cartridges with an Epson Stylus Photo 1400? If so, could you please share your experience.

Thanks

Not for that specific model but my experience of refilled cartridges is generally poor.

And my experience is good but..... don't let them sit without printing something for any period of time

Cheers, Don

Default well

I have only had epson printers, (although I'm only on my second one, and epson gave that to me for free ) Anyway I haven't used anything besides Epson ink, but a friend of mine did and it ruined his printer. The technology that Epson uses is different than most and if you use generic ink it can clog up the printer.

I would recommend finding a good deal on the ink rather than buying generic...just my $.02

I have had excellent serivce from www.carrotink.com. I have never had a single printer cartridge failure. That is pretty darned good.

I agree with Rhys, I have yet to have any positive experience with any alternative to regular cartridges.

What I did find interesting though was an article I read about how wildly inaccurate cartridges are when it comes to how much ink is left in them. Often, they will send a signal they are empty when they may be up to 1/3 full!

I wonder why the manufacturers haven't corrected that yet...oh wait.

Incidentally, I've used Moreinks in the UK with good results.

The thing about remanufactured cartridges is that if you use them and they gum up the works, any warranty you have will probably be voided.
