    Rain,

Living in Hurricaneville, I really miss the fall foliage, so I thank you for sharing yours.

    Hi Folks

I cannot turn my back on you guys for a minute before another crop of super shots are posted. I haven't been able to devote as much time as I would wish to this thread so it is great to know you folks are keeping things going.

It seems to me that there is a lot of learning going on here? Is it just me or do others pick up on pleasing compositions and try them out for themselves. If so the thread has moved on from just being somewhere to post shots to somewhere to get ideas and inspiration - which is really great.

My shot for today is tree bark, Canon A80.

    Thanks for all your contributions.
    regards
    Wombat

Coldrain - Love those colours - the filter helps I guess...
Kristy - lovely pics - simple yet so effective.
Val 123 - I've never got around to shootig Holly - yours has come out really well.
Anne - you and your new A-200 have gelled together really well - I would be
interestd to hear some of your findings and settings when and if you are up
    for it.
Wombat - some great subtle colours in that bark - I must try some bark photos sometime.

Ok. Another plant we bought recently ~ a Cotinus Grace, it has these
lovely red leaves right now - these pics are a bit too soon as it hasn't
had time to settle in properly yet
First - in it's place in the back garden...

Being aware that the reds don't always come out quite right
or as you predict - I took 2 shots - one a bit under exposed.
I can't make my mind up which is better...
    Comments welcome.

    Geoff-
    I wish I had a garden...
I like the very last photo, the one that's a bit darker.
