Four from this weekend (among others). I think I got the processing on the reflection wrong at the last minute.

I agree, but I'd crop a bit off the bottom.

Thanks! Hmmm maybe a different crop off the bottom, to 3:2 would look good.

You choose the shot containing your old arch nemesis, my Tiffen uncoated screw-on graduated ND filter. Even worse, it is stacked with a polarizer.

Location is the Ruby Mountain wilderness area in Nevada, a smaller member of the Soldier Lakes (because the wind was making ripples on the bigger lakes).

Dang I changed my mind. It's now my least favorite. How much hiking to get there? Looks like a great location.

It's about 6 miles of mild to moderate hiking, it takes me about 3 hours with a 40 pound pack. Since the light is only good in the morning, you really have to stay overnight to get a good picture. Other lakes in the mountains are even more scenic, but only one or two are as easy or easier to get to.

I like the redwoods. I was in the area a few years ago, but was new at the time and struggled with the light difference between trees and sky.

I'm thinking about giving backpacking a try next year. Need a lighter tripod first.
