Thats the last straw SpecialK, I'm dying of jealousy. I'd give my left arm to see Yosemite in the flesh

I love how small the people look on the clifftop. Nice shot.
Thanks. It was sort of scary as there is only a small railing at the very top. It is easy to go over the edge everywhere else.

Eddie from some of your earlier comments about being a ferry ride from the rain forrest how about either Vancouver Island or Whidbey Island? Wherever it is though it sure looks beautiful.

I'm going to guess on the Oregon or Washington coast. That could even been Northern California.

OK....Phil won my self portrait, "autographed", of me wearing my favorite pair of speedos......
I do live on Whidbey Island, Washington, on Puget Sound, not the true coast, but a big body of water that was formed during the ice age. All the ships have to enter the sound by the Straight of Jaun De Fuca, to get to the sea ports of Olympia, Tacoma, Everett, and Seattle, so I get to watch all that traffic too.
Seattle, about 70 miles to the south of me, on the mainland, has the most mildest weather of any big city this far north, in the continental United States.

I was there awhile back. Too bad I wasn't into photography at the time.

I was going to say Vancouver Island as that's where I'm from and it definitely looks like my part of home, but Whidbey Island is close enough. In fact, correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you see the lights of Victoria from some parts of Whidbey? Oh ya, beautiful shots!

Ah great er thanks Eddie......just what I've always wanted It shows the power of Google maps for a bit of detective work. There were only two obvious Islands that had ferry routes to the National Park. I look forward to seeing more posts of your home. Maybe one day I'll visit Washington State it's definitely gone on my to-visit list.

And now we dry out a little (but not much this year).

A couple of summer desert shots. Usery Pass and another Arizona Sunset.
