i'm a guy who likes to break rules--especially stupid ones like the rule of thirds, not letting the horizon bisect your picture, and using wide lenses for landscapes. here is a shot shot at something like 200mm, in a bizzare vertical oreination.
This is a pretty typical scene around here, and a cactus unique to this part of the world. If you ever see a Saguaro (pronounced sa-wa-ro) in a movie landscape it was shot in Arizona.

Nice photo, George. Might I suggest it would have been even better if the cactus had been to one side or the other rather than dead center? Or were you going for the total "cliche" photo?
