So around the Mt. Dandenong area. Had I looked at the Flickr page first...

Someday I will make it down that way, and it looks interesting. The last time I was in Melbourne (a long time ago) I didn't have much chance to go exploring outside of the city. That's what happens when you go drinking with the RAN. Lucky I still have any brain cells left.

It's on my map on Flickr if you click on the image and go to Flickr you should (emphasis on should I have no idea how the new Flickr interface works) be able to see the spot it was taken from.

Stunning cloudy sunset K1W1, definitely needs to be printed large.

As for your previous shot and the level discussions. I subscribe to both schools of **** er thought. I do think it's very slightly tilted looking at that white post but lots of other verticals inc the tree are off vertical in the image and anyway who's to say that post isn't actually put in at an angle!? I do also agree with Danwiz overall the combination of lines makes it look a bit off level so I'd cheat and just look at the overall image and tweak it a bit to make it look visually level without tilting the white post too much to look off the other way. As you can tell with this lengthy post ...I'm a bit bored ........ actually waiting for the f1 to start on the TV.

Unusual shot Lukas that works well. Interesting to see those flowers growing wild. I've only seen them in gardens here.

Pretty common here along with California Golden Poppies. Amazing what a little rain can do.

Very nice image Lucas. Definitely a framer.

Here's one from last spring at Folsom Lake. An impressive display. I can't buy a cloud on these wildflower trips though.

    K1w1,
I kind of like that. The composition somehow works for me.
