It's been a little while. Here's something new from an overnight trip to Heart Lake.

Lovely shot Lukas. I need to check it out on a better display than my work laptop. Is that snow on the rocks in the lower right or clipped highlights?

Looks like snow to me. It's a terrific landscape Lukas and a nice composition too.

After a night to sleep on it, this is looking too dark to me.

    Lukas,

I would have to buy a full fair ticket to fly out and repo your light meter if I thought you had actually clipped a highlight on that scale. There was so little other evidence of snow in the foreground that it seemed a little incongruous. That said, I decided to view the photo side by side on my laptop and my recent Nook HD+ toy (the Mother's day week say was to good to pass up). The Nook has a much more detailed screen, and it is a slightly darker image. Interestingly the nook seems to be a bit warmer toned overall, both the foreground and the sky. The laptop display feels warm in the background, but cooler toned in the foreground. The Nook really makes the alpenglow on the peak pop.

It is too dark, a little, but right idea.

I've taken a few pictures recently, but haven't gotten around to processing them. So, here's a B&W version of my most recent post which I think may be even better.
