I got it second hand and I think someone did a bad job cleaning it previously. Now I can't get all that stuff off. Even with a wet clean it just gets pushed to the edge of the sensor.

Thanks. Like I said a few good airplane shots from all of my travels.
Yup, occasionally I had to take the D70 in to Tempe Camera as the "do it yourself" wipes just could not get all of the dust/crud off of the sensor. As you can see from the GG Bridge shot in 2011 it had been a while (much to my chagrin). The D7000 seems to do a great job of self clean (yet another reason to like the new camera), and I have a tendency to change lenses more frequently now.

I think I need a clean start to truly evaluate the anti dust feature.

Yup. Not sure who can do that up here. Maybe Photoworks?

I'll have to take a look around. Here's another comp from my seascape outing last week.

Amazing how sunsets can vary so much in 90 miles. Yours, very nice. Ours, eh? The scene above is not very common down here.
Another Wenger winner for sure

Yeah it pays to be in the right location for sunset. It's a big guessing game as far as I'm concerned. I do tend to get a ton of blue birds down your way. There are a ton here too, I just stay on my couch for them. One from DV

Sweet I always like sand dunes. Your seascapes are good, but perhaps not as good as some of your previous ones. I have ambitions to take some landscape shots this weekend.

My problem is that I am generally shooting around mid-day, so lighting is generally pretty crappy. My work schedule is all over the map. Gotta re-retire one of these days...

They can't all be the best one.

Ugh. Not sure I could do that. I don't think I have more than a handfull of mid-day shots in my portfolio, excluding the overcast forest shots. I need my morning and evening light.
