I'll go out on a limb and call both these landscapes rather than waterfalls.

I agree, #1 is especially good. I like the soft effect, which is different from the hypersharpening most people use.

Too bad I can't see most other people's shots from the last month or two, some Chinese person's been screwing with the websites I can look at again . Time to get some Chinese-censor-bypass-software.

Thanks Raven, I don't sharpen post process much anymore unless my SS was too low for an insect macro.

My tastes have gone to a softer look particularly for twigs/branches which many people over sharpen.
