    Thanks DPR
I am really liking the lens - vey little to complain about at all.
I tend to use it more as I find myslelf needing the wider angle a lot
of the time... so just on that alone I guess it was the right buy for me.
I have 2 lenses, in particular, that overlap in use - the Nikon 16 - 85 and
The Tamron 28 - 200 - they are both very good and nice and sharp.
The Tamron hasn't got VR - but is nice and light in use, also it does a halfway
decent close up job. The Nikon is wider and has VR which really seems to work well in lower light etc
So as you can see - it's swings and roundabouts.
The Nikon was perfect for the day - got pictures on the hotplate of the
train - where the wide angle was really useful.

Still working out some of the finer points of photography but here are a few I took this weekend.

I think these shots all have distracting elements that could be fixed with a tweak of the composition. Where were they taken?

This one was shot at the park of Brasschaat (Belgium)

Took this one in "De Oude Landen" in Ekeren (Belgium). Turned out pretty well for a handheld shot at dawn

I took these along Eagle Creek Trail in the Columbia Gorge, Oregon. It's between Portland and Hood River.
