That's a stunner Prospero what a capture. I was pretty pleased with the shots I got on my recent visit to Oz too it's a very photogenic place. Love to go back one day.
Around every picture there's a corner & round every corner there's a picture
- the fun's in finding them
Thanks a lot for the kind comments, DPR, Aldor, Phil and George.
The scene looked like this for a minute or two. I was lucky to be there early so I could set up my tripod right next to the fence, without anybody blocking the view. I also have one with the whole rainbow over the rock, but that one will take a bit more post processing to get rid of the crowd. I'll post that one later.

For some reason this one came out looking like a painting at the end of my standard post processing. This is only 800x600, but you can keep on magnifying it all the way to pixel level, and it keeps revealing more detail and looking more like a painting. It's pretty amazing.
I try to get up there when I know the weather is dicy... like now during monsoon... maybe next week I'll head up to Sedona, Jerome/Prescott, and Flagg for a shoot. Then maybe up to Payson and the Mogollon Rim.
If the weather is really bad... maybe "The Canyon" as well.

Ha! See, I can change...
Great images of Sedona, George. I like the first one best.
Raven, I really like the subtle tones in your image. However, the sky looks a bit odd at some places, in particular the bit in the top right (there is a blown highlight, and the grey in the sky looks a bit smudgy).
Here's an image of the Blue Mountains in Australia:
