    Lake District

Recently spent a very wet week in the lake district, north UK,but the very 1st day had some sunshine(after that the heavens opened and did not stop)

First picture is just outside the lakes and shows where we stayed in a relatively undiscovered valley called Longsleddale.Picture is taken from a steep walk up the mountain side looking down on our accomodation(the cabin, not the farmhouse).

Second is a more traditional picture of Rydale Water.

JPW2020, I love the first one though it does look a bit underexposed. The landscape is beautiful and the cabin looks very cozy.

    Lake District

    Thanks guys

Mumbles 420-funnily enough I wondered if the second picture was slightly overexposed in the background!

    My eyes I think.

I actually think you underexposed a lot of them. Either put it in full manual or use exposure compensation. The composition could use some work too. For example, the one of the railing on the left needs to be shifted right or left. If you want the railing in there that's fine, but move it 1/3 of the way into the frame so it looks like it belongs there. I think you need to work to compose so that you isolate your subject. This will help you to avoid the cluttered look. This can be hard to do in the woods. Also, shooting from a high or low angle can make a shot more interesting than something from eye level. I'm not sure why you posted the same berry picture 4 times.

I could tell you but I wouldn't want you to get all pissy if it's the wrong brand
