Question about the A300 or A310...

I'm researching inexpensive digital cameras with at least 3mp. I'm new to digital cameras so I'm wondering if the PowerShot A300 or A310 will produce quality 4"x6" and occasionally 5"x6" prints. My main concern is it's lack of zoom so I'm also wondering if the positives outweigh that negative in comparison to other cameras in the same price range. Any advice would be appreciated.

Do yourself a favor and look at the Canon A75 instead. Just my two cents worth.

So, are you basically saying that the A310 will not suffice and it's worth spending the extra $100? Obviously the A75 is a better camera but I'm on a tight budget.

I really just need something that will produce a few frameable pictures of my family and friends and get myself comfortable with digital, but if I can't find a camera that will do that in my price range ($150) I may just have to wait until I can afford a better one.
