Now who in their right mind would even want a D50 apart from the marginally smaller size? Or has the D50's price dropped accordingly?

Edit - Wait, I get it. They need to sell these off to make room for the D70s.

I second That Blue... as it stood when I purchased my XT both body onlys were priced the same....at 749... with the firmware update out... I probably would be shooting a Nikon as well...

At this price, I might own both systems soon. I'd really like to test one out at a wedding to see if the flash metering is just a "grass is greener" scenario...

If the flash metering is truly superior, the best wedding kit might be a D70 + slower consumer glass + SB800 for flash shots, and the 20D + fast glass for available light shots. I already carry two cameras anyway...Hmmmm.

    jamison-

I have done digital photos with my Nikon D-70 and the SB-800 and the results are amazing. Having done wedding photos many years ago, I would venture the opinion that it might be a great combo. Go for it!
