From my short experience with CP Filters in digital is a lot better than with Film. Unless your shooting through glass most conditions are gonna be where the exposure drop isn't an issue but yet the CP giving you a more dramatic detailed result. You could reproduce that same image in photo editing software probably but with the CP it turns out not to be necessary.
