    Thanks for the settings Turo.

The world of the professional video cameraman.

Had a great chat to this fella for an hour while we waited for the flamingos to move into position. He was more than happy to talk about composition and the types of shots he has to get to make a good piece. He works for our public broadcasters show stateline.

His work really contrasted with the thrown together footage played by our commercial stations that evening on the followup stories to this flamingo's bashing at our zoo.

Not sure if I have posted this or not, if I have i'll delete. This was at Summer Time in the city 2007 in Jacksonville Florida. The lighting on the wall behind him caught my eye and I thought it made for an interesting pic. The name of the band escapes me right now, but they were a mix of funk and latin with a very Santana type vibe to it. I liked their music. Any thoughts?

Some good people pix here - rickalm, I liked the latest B&W drummer shot, usually I would say that he needs to be over to the right with looking space - but I like that lighting and shadow behind him - works really well in B&W too.
Turo - what a great face shot!!

I'm still learning with this whole portrait stuff and C&C is always welcome but anyways:

This little one is Ramona who is six years young. The shoot was on this last Sunday just after it had rained. Not much more to say except for that she was just wonderful about getting her photo taken.

    Ramona:

    EXIF:
    Make: Canon EOS 40D
    Shutter Speed: 1/80 second
    F Number: F/4.5
    Focal Length: 59 mm
    ISO Speed: 100

    Ramona II:

    EXIF:
    Make: Canon EOS 40D
    Shutter Speed: 1/80 second
    F Number: F/4.5
    Focal Length: 70 mm
    ISO Speed: 100

In both shots I used my newly purchased Canon 580EX II flash and Gary Fong LightSphere II Cloud. I borrowed my friend's Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L.
