I can't beleive nobody's uploading people shots, so here goes:
this one is called "the musician" ok, the fable goes like this: one day i happended to be wandering around with a P&S wth no batteries, and happend to find this chap. so i payed him ten bucks to hold the pose, powered up my camera, and found batts dead. seeing how desperate (and stinko rich) i was to get the shot, i was mobbed by hawkers who tried to sell batteries to me. i borrowed twenty bucks from a freind, bought a pair of cheap chinese batteries, took one frame, when they died, leaving me eith just one shot. i reworked it a million times, finally ending up with this:

This would have been an old Practika either STL1000 or MTL 3 (both virtually the same) with it's own standard 50mm lens * Agfa Chrome 50asa (or maybe 100 asa) orig from a scanned slide.
That is a great photo - and an even better story.
I will add a couple photos. Just spent 3 wks in Vietnam and Angkor Wat. Real Nat Geo photo countries. Hope to get a couple here soon. Had 2 1G cards which I filled so you can imagine the # of pictures I have to slog through. Hope there is one good one in the 900+ I took.

One of the hardest things to capture for me is people. Here's my attempt from last night...Canon Sd500
Julian on the left is a study abroad student from france. Kevin on the right is graduating in Aerospace Engineering, he's from Jamaica originally. This was at our graduation party last night. We're all Aerospace Engineers now
My favorite is trying to capture people when they're most casual, rather than posing. It's hard because some people feel they need to pose whenever they're in a picture.
