Stacy - I think your 2nd shot is great. The look of "attitude" on her face is priceless. Brings back memories of when my daughter was that age. Wait, come to think of it, I still see that look . Also very nice framing on both photos. Thanks for posting, gave me a smile tonight after a really tough day!
kid, in a very dim forest (1/30 less) cropped, red channel, slight distrotion on curves, etc. and it's in my unique 6:5 format. i think this is the best of the lot.

Thanks Dennis! I appreciate your comments! Glad these pics gave you a smile after a tough day. Sometimes I think we get caught up in our lenses, aperature, shutter speeds, etc that we forget what truely makes a great picture...........that is, IMHO, the ability to evoke an emotional response from the viewer. If it made you smile and brought back memories, then I feel like it's a winner. I know I smile everytime I look at it just because I know I captured a true and classic part of her personallity!

Rebel XT Memories may fade from my mind, but a good photograph will speak forever.

Two things I love about this photo
1. The leaves on the ground are awesome. All different shades of gray and the texture of them pop. It makes you think of the sound of fall leaves rustling on the ground.
2. I like how he is walking in a dark forest towards a lighter clearing. It makes it very dramatic. Makes you want to know where is he going and what is he doing there in the first place.
