As much as I love my new Pentax k200d, I would have not been able to grab this shot without being "caught" my trusty Fuji E-550 can be hidden in the palm of my hand until the moment is just right, LOL
I was thinking about converting it to B/W or sepia, wadda ya guys think?

Aldor, no way for you, just see how lovingly your friend holds his Canon

but, if Canon does not listen to update 5D then one their user might get D700 instead

I like that one a lot. Very nice scene.

Great picture! B&W was definitely the way to go with that one, it helps set the mood IMO.

Lukas, it's good to see your off-camera lighting. I haven't had that adventure yet ... #1 is a very flattering angle on your girlfriend, although it would have been nice to see more of her face. And it makes her look younger somehow. Were you trying to completely blacken the background? Just enough peeks through that it looks like an accident. It might work a little better to either have it better exposed or completely gone.

You know, I was trying to underexpose the background some so the direction of the lighting would be more obvious and because the background is ugly. I didn't really think about it much beyond that though. Next time I'll either go somewhere nice or just get rid of the background. Thanks for your comments.

Wengler, love your images, actually i am at the very start of learning how to take images of people... here are a couple of my attempts today. the first one is fun, my friend - a pro-painter - is helping me to create a master piece (posing for me on motorway)
