Thank you Corys lil Chica. Though it's terribly difficult to get her to sit still for a photo.....I just got lucky that day coz she got this new thing she could wind around her wrist and she wanted me to take a pic of that.

At my school, students in the 9th grade health class have to carry these babies around for three days. They cry at random intervals, about every two hours, and students push a button on the back to quiet them. This young man was "keeping her warm" during a basketball game in our freezing gym.

I'm always impressed with the noise, or lack there of, that the 400d produces at ISO 1600.

Yeah, not too shabby. I tried the noise reduction in Photoshop, but it didn't do much. I'm interested in Noise Ninja and similar programs, but I'm feeling cheap right now and saving for another lens, or two, and a bag, and some filters, and an external flash, and etc....

These are all from the Presidents' Day weekend and Civil War re-enactment at Calico Ghost Town near Yermo, California.

Descended relatives of Mary Todd Lincoln and Robert Todd Lincoln in the museum.


This man told me the name of every coin and bill in his collection.
