I really like the 2nd shot you posted. I like the dreamy look of the background. Not typical blurred background, somehow different. Did you do it in PP? I like the idea of the first shot, too.

I am also a newbie but here it is. This is my daughter. I would say it was not posed but when she sees a camera she poses automatically. I used my Kodak Z650.
