    Try an experiment.

Put the phone on something like a very solid table, hold it down really tight, as in there is no way it can move & take a photo of something with a touch of detail in it. As long as you never moved the phone 100th of a mm you will have a true pic of its clarity & sharpness. I'm not taking the piss here just an observation that your pics have slight movement in them.

Here is an attempt at using a softbox...aka my bedroom ceiling. Have my Sunpak 383 setting on the chest-of-drawers pointed at a shallow angle at the corner of the ceiling and walls. Using a ebay radio trigger to fire the flash off camera. Red light is from and l.e.d. toy of my daughter. Panasonic FZ30 camera.

    Great shot.

I like this. A thought I had is if you could do the same thing but have the hammer just at the end of it's travel with enough motion blur & the gun in focus.

I wasn't sure where to post this shot. Sorry if its in the wrong spot. Anyway, I'm looking for some good C&C on this. Cheers!

    Me too!

Zmikers, I really like it a lot. The only suggestion I have is to increase the contrast a bit--the lower right looks a little muddy (no pun intended.)

    C&C for me also, please....

Cheers Adam, I'll give that a try. I love the patterns in your shots. I think its great when people can take ordinary scenes and turn them into a great pics. In #2 it looks like something got into the very top right corner, maybe crop that out. Other than that, nice work!

Thanks. Do you mean the top left corner? That's part of the fence I was shooting through (you can see more of it along the right side.) On the right is part of a street light, maybe I should have photoshopped that out.

I raised the contrast a bit, and I think you were right. Not a huge difference but I think it helped a touch. Thanks for the advice!

I like it better. The water looks more distinct too. Very nice!
