I agree Norm - Bald Eagle that eye shot is very impressive, I would have been pleased to get a shot like that with one of our microscopes at work. How far away from the insect were you BE?

Phil D, Thanks as well for the very kind words. I was shocked myself at the clarity of this one. I was probably about a foot away, I used a tripod and a remote shutter release cable, along with an off-camera flash. Thanks very much.

Looks like a cloth pattern from the 50's--I can imagine wearing a shirt like that when I was a kid!
