Wombat, Excellent Fern shot, Even the brown shoes.
Thanks yet again Bald Eagle for your comments. As with so many of the threads, this abstract one has been a great inspiration and has prompted me to look at subjects in a new way. They are probably what people call cheap shots but I think of them as lucky dips as you never quite know what you are going to get.
Here are some Cordyline leaves taken in full sun but with the exposure compensation turned way down - just loved the richness of the colours.
Canon A80, daylight, no flash, hand held, Ap. f/7.1, Exp. 1/500s, exposure compensation -1, macro, zoom and program AE modes.
This birds feathers are much more beautiful than the bird itself, who just are kind of like a poo-machine and angry all the time, and scary, or maybe I just misunderstand this one?

Great idea - hope you don't mind me pinching it for this shot. My original shot was pretty grim taken on a dull day but I just liked the play of black and white to much to delete it. I have had to crop very tightly so the quality has suffered.
